About redlines.law
redlines.law is a single-purpose redlining tool for legal professionals. Upload a document, invite the people who will edit it, and every revision is captured as an attributable draft with an evidence chain you can hand to opposing counsel, a court, or a regulator.
What problem we solve
Email-attachment redlining loses provenance. Track-changes get accepted out, comments get stripped, who-changed-what-when becomes folklore by the third revision. redlines.law makes the chain of edits a first-class artifact — one URL per document, every draft signed by the editor's initials, every comparison generated on demand from the encrypted source.
How it works
- Upload your document (DOCX, DOC, ODT, or RTF) and pay $5.
- Invite collaborators with their initials. Each gets a magic-link email — no password to remember.
- Anyone with access uploads a new draft. Every draft rotates everyone's access tokens and re-emails fresh links. Old links die immediately.
- Compare any two drafts and download the redline as PDF (the legal-record format) or DOCX. Export the full evidence chain as a zip for any proceeding.
Security posture
Encryption-at-rest with per-document keys. Server-master key in Azure Key Vault. Audit log of every access. Detailed in Security.
